Destiny vs Choice

Life is a blind labyrinth. Which turn to take or to leave is a choice, and which turn indeed will turn right for you, is destiny.

These two things, as so profoundly related and complete with each other, may inherently be the biggest oppositions.

A person struggles from his first heart beat to his last, just to live for his wishes, he has numerous choices but ultimately he surrenders all to the destiny. Some say it is the choices that you make and the opportunities that you take, and some are just fatalists. It isn’t that being either is bad or one can simply rely on any one of them, but in the process, dreaming, contemplating and believing is very important.

Belief, not only on the universal power, but also on yourself and your capabilities. Knowing yourself and your aptitude. Believing that what you want, wants you as well…

My life is certainly a juggle between these two forces. I am gradually turning out to be lucky, for my destiny and choices have started to share li’l friendly terms. But this wasn’t ever so. I think struggle prevails, no matter at what level. I am still a struggler, but lately a little more optimistic one.

Belonging to a middle class family, and having no connections with the film industry whatsoever…. Being drilled to study which I always escaped ;)…. And with no training or grooming. I made the choice, and took a chance. Unknowingly, that one small choice has governed my life since then. Watching myself on TV or being recognized on the streets was one of my biggest dreams. And to be able to live your dream, even for a while, the feeling is so enriching. My first ever exposure to this world happened with Ibibo Mtv Isuperstar. The first time I ever faced the camera, I knew that I was there and was doing that. Loved the response I got from my family, friends and public. It was momentous.

But as I said, struggle prevails, and nothing is a bed of roses. I had to wait for a year to try my luck in Miss India Worldwide 2009. Although i could only make it to the final round, i realized my potential and the scope of improvement. After that, I started modeling, auditioning for movies, did few music videos, etc. It was fun, but involved a lot of patience, as it’s not like any other 9 to 5 job that provides security. And as I was resolving to take my studies forward, JIL JIL JIGA happened (or rather IS HAPPENING). I don’t understand why it’s always so blindfolded. At least, I am too bad at planning. Here, I don’t understand, whether my choice led to all this or my destiny had it all pre-decided.

But for now, I am delighted to be getting this opportunity and trying to be aware of things slowly unfolding. But I believe, for good or for worse, any experience has something to give, if nothing good then at least another lesson in your basket. For this time I feel all excited and ready to fly, taking the sips from my cocktail. The cocktail of life which consists millions of choices, numerous destinations but one destiny. Enjoying the high with a pinch of salt. ;)

So here I am, after observing what I wrote, I still have no winner amongst the two.

But managed to get a step closer towards their relationship, and realized that without any effort, there is no choice and neither any destiny. What say?? Is it you who chooses your destiny or whether the destiny makes you?? Its still very debatable.

I’ll be looking forward to your comments, without myself getting more philosophical (which I always tend to ;)) and I certainly hope you enjoyed reading. I’ll be writing more stuff, keep tuned to all we guys… and be updated…on JIL JIL JIGA…..and of course Me….J …..and my philosophies from now onwards ;).

Enjoy!!!!!

Rishita

“Hi folks ….. I am Rishita Monga... a Punjabi girl who is effervescent by heart………born and brought up in Delhi.   I am a commerce graduate and now looking forward to do my masters.  Currently I am pursuing my passion i.e. Acting…As a person am little introvert and take my sweet time to know people better …. Friendly and chirpy as I can always get (contradicting to my first impressions).... I value the ones who are near to me…..and that’s what means the world to me… M a big foodie, and have a fetish for clothes and stuff…all so stereotypically girls..;) Music, dance, and a little painting……..and of course television…..are my best stress busters….I like to do things that give me creative satisfaction.

I am a dreamer and take the vicissitudes of life with my best ability….. Also a nature lover and really believe that the best things in life are for free... Although all I ever wanted since my childhood, was to become an actress someday….but acting for me was not planned….it happened incidentally when I landed up auditioning for an MTV reality show known as “IBIBO MTV ISUPERSTAR” in 2008… it was a dance and acting talent oriented show…. With whatever I had…..and with my passion....I went on winning that show amongst 10,000 people who auditioned. And that’s pretty much how I started discovering myself more as a performer…

In early 2009, I participated in MISS INDIA WORLDWIDE PAGEANT, and was amongst the top 5 contestants….it was a complete personality overhaul... I won the subtitles of MISS TALENTED and MISS BEAUTIFUL SKIN.  That’s how I started modeling in Delhi….

N now 2010….. This is another turning point when I’ve been signed for the upcoming Telugu project…JIL JIL JIGA… Excited as I always get…..when it comes to camera facing….am a little nervous too……coz it’s the big screen now…….finally dreams are coming true….. I express my gratitude for the people who thought of me worthwhile this role… And also …I promise to bring the best performance and entertainment to my viewers……….I hope for acceptance from my audience…

Love u all…..
N stay tuned for updates on JIL JIL JIGA n of course….me…. ;)
