Destiny vs Choice

Life is a blind labyrinth. Which turn to take or to leave is a choice, and which turn indeed will turn right for you, is destiny.

These two things, as so profoundly related and complete with each other, may inherently be the biggest oppositions.

A person struggles from his first heart beat to his last, just to live for his wishes, he has numerous choices but ultimately he surrenders all to the destiny. Some say it is the choices that you make and the opportunities that you take, and some are just fatalists. It isn’t that being either is bad or one can simply rely on any one of them, but in the process, dreaming, contemplating and believing is very important.

Belief, not only on the universal power, but also on yourself and your capabilities. Knowing yourself and your aptitude. Believing that what you want, wants you as well…

My life is certainly a juggle between these two forces. I am gradually turning out to be lucky, for my destiny and choices have started to share li’l friendly terms. But this wasn’t ever so. I think struggle prevails, no matter at what level. I am still a struggler, but lately a little more optimistic one.

Belonging to a middle class family, and having no connections with the film industry whatsoever…. Being drilled to study which I always escaped ;)…. And with no training or grooming. I made the choice, and took a chance. Unknowingly, that one small choice has governed my life since then. Watching myself on TV or being recognized on the streets was one of my biggest dreams. And to be able to live your dream, even for a while, the feeling is so enriching. My first ever exposure to this world happened with Ibibo Mtv Isuperstar. The first time I ever faced the camera, I knew that I was there and was doing that. Loved the response I got from my family, friends and public. It was momentous.

But as I said, struggle prevails, and nothing is a bed of roses. I had to wait for a year to try my luck in Miss India Worldwide 2009. Although i could only make it to the final round, i realized my potential and the scope of improvement. After that, I started modeling, auditioning for movies, did few music videos, etc. It was fun, but involved a lot of patience, as it’s not like any other 9 to 5 job that provides security. And as I was resolving to take my studies forward, JIL JIL JIGA happened (or rather IS HAPPENING). I don’t understand why it’s always so blindfolded. At least, I am too bad at planning. Here, I don’t understand, whether my choice led to all this or my destiny had it all pre-decided.

But for now, I am delighted to be getting this opportunity and trying to be aware of things slowly unfolding. But I believe, for good or for worse, any experience has something to give, if nothing good then at least another lesson in your basket. For this time I feel all excited and ready to fly, taking the sips from my cocktail. The cocktail of life which consists millions of choices, numerous destinations but one destiny. Enjoying the high with a pinch of salt. ;)

So here I am, after observing what I wrote, I still have no winner amongst the two.

But managed to get a step closer towards their relationship, and realized that without any effort, there is no choice and neither any destiny. What say?? Is it you who chooses your destiny or whether the destiny makes you?? Its still very debatable.

I’ll be looking forward to your comments, without myself getting more philosophical (which I always tend to ;)) and I certainly hope you enjoyed reading. I’ll be writing more stuff, keep tuned to all we guys… and be updated…on JIL JIL JIGA…..and of course Me….J …..and my philosophies from now onwards ;).

Enjoy!!!!!

Rishita

“Hi folks ….. I am Rishita Monga... a Punjabi girl who is effervescent by heart………born and brought up in Delhi.   I am a commerce graduate and now looking forward to do my masters.  Currently I am pursuing my passion i.e. Acting…As a person am little introvert and take my sweet time to know people better …. Friendly and chirpy as I can always get (contradicting to my first impressions).... I value the ones who are near to me…..and that’s what means the world to me… M a big foodie, and have a fetish for clothes and stuff…all so stereotypically girls..;) Music, dance, and a little painting……..and of course television…..are my best stress busters….I like to do things that give me creative satisfaction.

I am a dreamer and take the vicissitudes of life with my best ability….. Also a nature lover and really believe that the best things in life are for free... Although all I ever wanted since my childhood, was to become an actress someday….but acting for me was not planned….it happened incidentally when I landed up auditioning for an MTV reality show known as “IBIBO MTV ISUPERSTAR” in 2008… it was a dance and acting talent oriented show…. With whatever I had…..and with my passion....I went on winning that show amongst 10,000 people who auditioned. And that’s pretty much how I started discovering myself more as a performer…

In early 2009, I participated in MISS INDIA WORLDWIDE PAGEANT, and was amongst the top 5 contestants….it was a complete personality overhaul... I won the subtitles of MISS TALENTED and MISS BEAUTIFUL SKIN.  That’s how I started modeling in Delhi….

N now 2010….. This is another turning point when I’ve been signed for the upcoming Telugu project…JIL JIL JIGA… Excited as I always get…..when it comes to camera facing….am a little nervous too……coz it’s the big screen now…….finally dreams are coming true….. I express my gratitude for the people who thought of me worthwhile this role… And also …I promise to bring the best performance and entertainment to my viewers……….I hope for acceptance from my audience…

Love u all…..
N stay tuned for updates on JIL JIL JIGA n of course….me…. ;)

Signing off….

Rithvik

And now… we have Rithvik, already a Hero… also introduced by me in ALAA. Here’s what he tells about himself:

”Hi there. I am Rithvik. Nothing much special to tell about me. Well, I have done Automobile Engineering and after that I worked in many top range companies like Tata Motars and Ford etc. Acting is my prime passion. I did stage acting training also in Gunjan Kumar’s institute in Mumbai.

It was accidental and unexpected... earlier when I got chance as a Hero in ALAA. Now, again… I am in the team of Manohar Chimmani’s JIL JIL JIGA. This time also it’s really unexpected and unplanned!

Somewhere I read that "Success seems to be connected with action. Successful men keep moving. They make mistakes, but they don't quit." It’s true. I'm a great believer in luck also. I find the harder I work the more I have of it.

If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it. If you don't ask, the answer is always no. If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place. What do you say?

I wish all our team VERY BEST OF LUCK for the grand success of the project: JIL JIL JIGA.

Best,
Rithvik.

Aarchya

And here's Aarchya Hazarika... selected for one of the four gals in the main lead. Her intro in her own words...

”Myself Aarchya Hazarika, 27th July born, a Leo by birth, friendly by nature and have a pleasing personality....

Well, to begin with - I am from a small oil town named DIGBOI, ASSAM and did my schooling from Carmel Convent. Then I shifted to Guwahati, heart of Assam, for my higher education and I ended up studying in the best college of northeast, COTTON COLLEGE. Wow!! Never expected to be a part of that college.

After my graduation, my parents decided to send me to Delhi for my career in Journalism… though I never wanted to do so… instead want to be a part of the glamour world. But I did my Journo and Mass Comu and in fact passed out with flying colours. So, you can say just another degree added to my B.A degree.

Nevertheless, God has planned something else for me. I participated in a contest named "Sananda Tilottama" in 2006, which held in Kolkatta. No doubt, didn’t win it but got to learn many things there from personality development to walking the ramp confidently, from a seasoned and renowned supermodel Noyonika Chatterjee. I just love and respect her a lot.

After coming from Kol, I finally made my professional portfolio. And in Delhi, from then onwards started my career as a model and did many fashion shws, shoots for designers and did print ads till date.

"ACTING" has never been a cup of tea for me. In fact it’s a very tough job, so I never been to any audition either for movies or serials. Frankly speaking, I always use to get calls for films and serials. Finally, one day got a call from one of my designer friend that would I be interested in doing a parallel role in a Telugu film. And for the first time I said yes to him thinking there’s always a first time for everything and I should go and try my luck. There I landed signing up this film and I know I ll get to learn many things . So this film means a lot to me and I wish… YOU people like my role, and accept me through this film.

For me - "Success is never ending, failure is never final". So, I move on in life learning from my failures and my mistakes towards the Success by my hardwork.

Here am SIGNING OFF...

Goutham

I introduced Goutham in my second film ALAA. Later he worked in many films. Here's 'about him' in his own words...

"GOUTHAM is what every one calls me… well I’m (seriously) a very crazed personality. Enjoy each and every minute of life cause it’s my only way to live my dreams..!!!

To tell about my carrier I have successfully completed Aircraft maintenance engineering and then stepped in to “TV & Film Institute of AP” from where I have done diploma in acting..!!

Next entering in to my dream so called film industry with “ALAA” directed by Nandi Awardee Mr. Manohar Chimmani, I really thank him cos he gave me a wing to my dreams, I will always be thankful to him, as he gave me a good role to show my skills.

Well next its my big dream just given by god is the film “CALL CENTER” which helped me to stand with raised chin, I played one of the main lead in the film which was directed by Mr.Kanmani (Naa Oopiri fame).

This is about my life and how I started in Films and one of the precious gifts from god and who pushed me forward to step darely in further...

Well again I got an opportunity to thank Director Mr. Manohar Chimmani who again gave me a chance to prove myself and ya my skills in the film “JIL JIL JIGA”…

What all I can do now is just rock the chance I got…Am sure, we will rock u…

Harshita

Here is something very interesting about Harshita, our Heroine, in her own words...

”I belong to a Place Called Moradabad which is in U.P. I did my schooling from there, then for my further education my family sent me to Dehradun. I am graduate and after that my planning was to do M.B.A.
But my father's desire was to see me as Airhostess… so I did a professional training for this from the institute Air Hostess Academy. During this course, I started getting offers for modeling but I didn’t take it seriously because I knew what my fathers reaction will be on this.

But I had a wish to walk on the ramp someday. I completed my course and got the job in a multinational company where I worked as administration officer. I had my first interview for Swiss International Airlines and I successfully completed all the rounds but there is a saying… ‘YOU CAN'T STOP THE THINGS WHICH ARE WRITTEN IN DESTINY’. Same happened with me also. I couldn’t get my passport and I lost the opportunity of becoming a part of Swiss Airlines.

A month later I got the call from my friend who was from Dehradun. She told me that there is a contest going on'' Miss India North Mega Model Hunt'' though I was just on state label but I decided to participate in it. I went there but without informing anybody in my family.

Finally the day came when I won this contest and first of all I informed to my father, after hearing this he was so happy and I got a silent approval for my modeling career. Then I decided to get into this for full time but again my father was not in favor of leaving the job and making my career in modeling. But when I was getting good response then finally I got the green signal from him.

I still remember his words ''I have made you enough strong to handle any situation and I want you to prove yourself, I will be more happy than you… when I will see you successful in your career. My support is always with you, don't care for anything just work hard and concentrate on your career. I know this industry is full of challenges but I am confident about you and I know my daughter is capable to take the right step at the right time.”

I got my professional portfolio done and its just 7 months time, I have done lot of Print Shoots, Ramp Shows and Music Videos. But still I was not satisfied with it. I wanted to do more… want to go long way in industry... so I started working on my Acting. I know this is the platform where I can give the wings to my dreams.

This is how my career started in Films. I am sure I will make my father feel proud on me. I am so passionate for acting and happy for getting this opportunity where I can prove my self.

Thanks,
Harshita

Pranay

Here's an intro about Pranay, one of the 4 guys acting in the main lead... in his own words...

"Life is a beautiful journey, it has been special to me too, its taken a path I had never though, started as a simple guy from Bangalore, growing in the world created so wonderfully that each thing has inspired me friends, music, fun... so much to make what I am today, made my step into medicine, slowly got inclined finished to make my parents and sister proud. Flew abroad to conquer my quest. slowly I started realizing that, everyone has a reason, a definition to there life,, with all the twist turns that this river has taken finally with zest of inspiration and confidence I have picked through this journey is plunging into this ocean of creative world 'movies'.

Hi guys, PRANAY here, I have been lucky to get someone so creative, and caring right in the beginning of my carrier that he is seen the real me and has picked me to play a role that all u guys will love, and I would cherish. Hope this first encounter with u guys becomes a true beginning .To all those who know me u would definitely love me even more and for those newbies... i promise u will never forget me. I want to make u smile with me, laugh with me, cry with me. Hope I make a place in those zillion hearts out there...here is the beginning of a new star.

You can teach the whole world with your power,
If you are but worthy the place.
The stage is a force and a factor
In moulding the thought of the day,
If only the heart of the actor
Is high as the theme of the play.

No discourse or sermon can reach us
Through feeling to reason like you;
No author can stir us and teach us
With lessons as subtle and true.
Your words and your gestures obeying
We weep or rejoice with your part,
And the player, behind all his playing,
He ought to be great at his art.

No matter what role you are giving,
No matter what skill you betray,
The everyday life you are living
Is certain to colour the play.
The thoughts we call secret and hidden
Are creatures of malice, in fact;
They steal forth unseen and unbidden,
And permeate motive and act.

The genius that shines like a comet
Fills only one part of God’s plan,
If the lesson the word derives from it
Is marred by the life of the man

.....so here’s a star born.
